Gender Equality, Women’s Empowerment & GBV Prevention
GEN4SUD promotes transformative change by advancing women’s leadership, economic autonomy, protection, and rights. We address both the structural and social barriers that limit women’s participation in economic, political, and community life.
Our approach combines:
- Leadership development and civic engagement for women and girls
- Strengthening women-led enterprises and producer groups
- Economic empowerment through entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and market systems support
- Policy advocacy for gender-responsive governance and institutional reform
Recognizing that gender-based violence (GBV) remains one of the most pervasive barriers to equality, we integrate survivor-centered and prevention-focused strategies across our programming. Our GBV work includes:
- Community-based prevention and social norms transformation
- Safe spaces and psychosocial support for survivors
- Strengthening referral pathways and protection systems
- Engagement of men and boys as allies in prevention
- Institutional capacity strengthening on safeguarding and accountability
We apply a rights-based and survivor-centered approach grounded in dignity, confidentiality, inclusion, and Do No Harm principles.
